Laurel Cottage is ideally placed for trout, salmon and sea angling. In fact the Tullaghobegley river runs just 1/4 of a mile from the cottage where you can fish for sea trout and salmon and there are views from the cottage over Ballyness estuary where there are flatfish and sea trout out as far as Tory island where blue shark and tuna are a possibility in season.
We can recomend Lough Na Toohey at Creeslough for rainbow trout fishing. It is a natural limestone lough recently stocked with hard fighting rainbow trout up to 8lbs and is fly fishing only. You can fish catch and release only or specify a bag up to 2 fish per day. Prices start at only 15 euro and include boat and lifejacket hire.
