The old store area is now a large double bedroom with exposed stone walls limewashed in the original way. Two new skylights let the morning sun warm and light the room, while the new, locally crafted sliding sash window to the front of the house gives views over Ballyness estuary and on to Tory Island. It still retains the original fireplace, now with electric stove, and is furnished with an antique wardrobe and dressing table.

The entrance hall right through to the rear bathroom has been re-tiled sympathetically with reclaimed Victorian red and cream quarry tiles.

The old kitchen and sitting room have become one room again with original flagstone floor and exposed wooden beam. An open turf fire adds to the warmth and atmosphere on cool Autumn evenings. This spacious room now has two walls of exposed original stone, one whitewashed and one natural. There is an LCD tv with freesat a DVD, and playstation and a selection of DVD's, CD's and video games.

From here a door leads to the glasshouse and the back garden with stunning views of Errigal mountain.

The previous dining room and small rear bedroom have been transformed into dining room/modern kitchen, again with exposed stone walls and high ceiling. The fireplace now houses a stove on the raised hearth, surrounded by local marble re-used when the local church had to replace its 250 year old step with a ramp. The new kitchen has everything required including, combined washing machine/drier, fridge, oven/hob and microwave -whether you are a keen cook or just want to throw dirty mugs in the dishwasher.

At the rear of the house is the downstairs bathroom with huge double-ended Victorian bath, classically designed radiator and locally crafted tongue and groove panelling around the walls.

The large main bedroom upstairs has views from two timber sliding sash windows towards Tory and Horn Head.

The rear single bedroom can also be supplied with a cot if required and has views over the fields (and sometimes Mr McNulty's cows).

The upstairs shower room has all modern fittings with a wooden floor and Victorian style radiator. The 2 original radiators in the house have now been replaced with 5 slim line ones of the latest design. These, combined with the thick natural stone walls, mean the cottage is warm and cosy, even when snow lies on the Derryveagh mountains in winter.
