There are miles of unspoilt beaches and we are within 5 miles of both Errigal, Donegals' highest mountain and Muckish, both spectacular climbs. There are disused railway lines and miles of bog roads with amazing wildlife. There are also superb cliff top walks around Horn Head with views from the 600 foot cliffs of many seabirds, seals and even whales.

There are also many spectacular mountain bike and cycle trails close to the cottage and safe storage for your bikes is available.
North West Donegal has many off road trails suitable for 4x4 vehicles. We have researched many of these around the cottage and all give spectacular views ranging from 400 metres up Muckish mountain to open bog land ,beach trails and disused railway lines.Many are suitable for standard 4x4 vehicles like RAV4 and CR-V but some would be test for a Land Rover. We have a Jeep Patriot and really enjoy getting to places which 'normal' road users never see.
